Paola and Francesco Franchini cultivate the vineyards of Castelrotto and Lamone with deep passion and dedication. In 1985 they vinified the first Poggio del Cinghiale, striving to maintain its typicality, purity of tone and freshness with each vintage. With the firm purpose of creating a wine that "must be enjoyable," of course.

Poggio del Cinghiale represents the Ticino Merlot tradition, light and smooth thanks in part to the privileged exposure of Catelrotto's vineyards, which are exposed in a very sunny position.

Food and Wine Pairing

It is a delicate wine that goes well with traditional cuisine; cured meats, first courses with meat sauces, white meats and light cheeses.
