Renato Fenocchio's Barbera d'Alba Elena represents an excellent expression of the Barbera variety, grown in the renowned Starderi vineyard in Neive. This red wine, distinctive for its full body and aging in wood, saw an evolution in the winemaking process in the 2020 vintage. After racking, Renato Fenocchio chose to age the wine in barriques, where it also completed malolactic fermentation. This technique gave Barbera Elena a remarkable balance, with a robust structure enriched by a lively acidity that harmoniously balances the woody notes, resulting in a wine of character and depth.
Food and wine pairing
This is a wine that accompanies white and red meats with long stews, roasts or low temperature vacuum cooking. Excellent with moderately aged cheeses.
It can be consumed as soon as it is on the market and up to five to seven years after harvest.
