Denomination
Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva DOCG Classic - Organic
Grape variety
100% Verdicchio
Vinification and aging
Aging in wood: 15 - 24 months and then bottle (minimum 1 year). Like a red, it is a wine that matures in Slavonian oak barrels for about two years, to which at least one additional year in bottle is added. This completely unusual maturation is possible thanks to the complexity of the grapes coming from vineyards at least 40/50 years old, with deep roots that seek nourishment in the noblest and most "virgin" part of the subsoil.
Soil
Clay - Calcareous
Food and wine pairing
Thanks to its great structure, it is a wine that accompanies seafood, fish, and roasted white meats. Its complexity makes it capable of following, in the tasting sequence, a red wine, for example to return to a white wine to accompany cheeses, after having accompanied the main meat dish with an important red wine.
Tasting notes
The Verdicchio Riserva of Bucci is a very special wine. Several times recognized in Italy as "best white wine of the year" by some of the most authoritative wine guides, it is a white that shares characteristics with a red wine.
Serving temperature
