Louis Roederer

The 3 historic grape varieties of Champagne coexist on the Louis Roederer estate. Chardonnay is appreciated for its finesse, minerality, and elegance, the black Pinot, whose robust constitution structures the blends, wonderfully preparing them for aging, and the Pinot Meunier, a sweet and more discreet variety whose adaptability contributes to the harmony and softness of certain vintages.
The grapes from our vineyards are handpicked with the utmost care, collected in baskets, and pressed at the same place of harvest. Pressing is a very delicate operation because the color of the grape must not stain the juice, which must maintain its blonde color and clarity.
