Designation of origin
Meursault AOC – Burgundy, France
Grape variety
100% Chardonnay
Vineyard location
The cuvée is born from the blend of about 12 parcels located within the municipality of Meursault. The vineyards extend on slopes with south/southeast exposure, on clay-limestone soils. Sustainable viticulture, soil tillage, simple Guyot pruning, manual harvest.
Vinification and aging
The grapes are pressed and the must is decanted for 24 hours in temperature-controlled tanks. Fermentation in barrique with only indigenous yeasts, to preserve the typicality of the terroir and the vintage. Aging on the lees for 15–18 months. Barrique 100% oak, with 25–30% new wood.
Food and wine pairing
It pairs magnificently with white meats with delicate sauces, fish, and seafood. Also excellent with creamy preparations that enhance the structure and roundness of the wine.
Tasting notes
Dry wine, round and delicate on the nose. On the palate it is broad and persistent, with a beautiful mineral tension. Aromas of white flowers intertwine with notes of fresh butter and dried fruit, creating an elegant and balanced whole. Representative cuvée of the Meursault appellation, with excellent aging potential.
Aging potential
5–6 years or more, depending on the vintage.
Serving temperature
12–14 °C
