Vineyards
Vineyards in the municipality of Boca and Prato Sesia at an altitude between 400 and 450 meters above sea level with "Maggiorina" training system, an old method worked only by hand because it is not accessible by machines. Vineyards aged between 40-100 years. Area approx. 3 Ha.
Vinification
The grapes for Maggiorina are harvested during the first days of October. After a gentle crushing and destemming, fermentation takes place entirely in steel with maceration on the skins for 4-5 days. The wine undergoes aging for 12 months in steel before bottling.
Tasting Notes
Maggiorina from Le Piane is an intense ruby red. On the nose, floral notes of violet emerge, creating a perfect combination with fruity hints of blueberry and sour cherry jam. The finish is slightly spicy. On the palate, it is fresh, warm, and soft characterized by great taste-olfactory balance.
