Isole e Olena - Tuscany
Isole e Olena are two medieval villages located in Castellina in Chianti in an enchanted place surrounded by the typical Tuscan landscape of absolute beauty. The De Marchi family bought Isole e Olena in the 1950s, unifying them into a single farm. Paolo De Marchi took the helm soon after graduating in agronomy, contributing to changing the destiny of Tuscan winemaking in the 1980s, together with a small group of top producers who gave birth to the famous and revolutionary "Supertuscan wines."
The main goal of Paolo, who has also gained solid experience in California, has always been to create wines of the highest quality that are an expression of the territory and great winemaking traditions of Tuscany. The greatest attentions are focused, therefore, on Vin Santo, Chianti Classico, and Cepparello, a pure Sangiovese with great personality that has become a reference point for connoisseurs of great wines.
However, alongside the traditional Tuscan production, a line of innovative wines is also followed: a Syrah, a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Chardonnay, all grouped under the name Collezione Privata. Over the years, each label has become a benchmark for high quality expressed in the bottle.
The countless national and international awards Paolo De Marchi receives each year confirm the great work done both in the vineyard and in the winery.
