Tenuta Trapletti
In 1967 the family farm was born with his father Lorenzo. From an early age, Enrico Trapletti began to discover his great interest and dedication to vineyards. This led him in 1992 to embark on his path in winemaking. Up to that time carried out as a hobby, winemaking became his main life activity and in 2004 he established Tenuta Vitivinicola Trapletti. Starting from the family vineyard located on the hill of Coldrerio, to date the vineyards extend over approx. 13 hectares on the wide area of Mendrisiotto.
The mild climate, variety of soils and diversity of areas have given rise to an innumerable number of grape varieties different from one another. It consists of 16 different grape varieties. In addition, for the past 13 years it has reintroduced Nebbiolo, which already existed on Ticino soil before Merlot. To date it has about 4,000 plants of this quality and produces 100% Nebbiolo. This grape variety is also used in the Nabumba blend and for a Nebbiolo rosé classic method sparkling wine.
The Tenuta Trapletti Winery produces approx. 45,000 to 55,000 bottles of wine per year to date.
