Culdrée(Coldrerio in Ticino dialect) is an important red wine made from Merlot grapes sourced from the "Bongio" vineyard in the municipality of Coldrerio, where the soil is rich in clay, as evidenced by ancient kilns in the area.
Vinification is traditional, and 12-month aging is carried out partly in 225-liter barrels and partly in large casks.
Food and wine pairing
It is a bold, full-bodied wine that brings out the best in curated cuisine based on risotto, red meats and aged cheeses.
If you consume it before the age of 5 years, it is recommended to let it oxygenate a few minutes directly in the glass.
