  • Samhàin, is the Celtic New Year. For the Celts, skilled farmers who populated our lands, it was the most important day of the year. It indicates passage, conclusion and beginning.

Samhàin marks the end of the harvest season, of the last fruits, the sweetest and richest, essential for the long winter.

The time when seeds dwell in the quiet earth and then resume plant life.

At the Samhàin, thanks were given for the crops and the gods were invoked to get through the harsh winter unscathed.

It was considered the most mystical time of the year, where the material world was closest to the spiritual one. (All Saints' Day is still celebrated today).

The label graphic is meant to represent "The beginning of the seed's life and a joyful outlook into the future"; a joyful perpetual spherical movement, hinting at harmony, balance and great potential for development.

Samhàin is a Merlot that encapsulates the generosity of the earth and the energy of the Ticino sun with a distinctly "Bourguignon" style. Its distinctive character is perceived in its elegance and depth of expression. Like all my wines, it enhances its characteristics accompanied by food.

What connects me to the Samhain? October 31, is my birth day.
