Luciano Sandrone's Barbera is a full-bodied, intense red wine aged for 12 months in fine oak tonneaux. Deep ruby in color, the nose shows intense aromas of blackberries, blueberries and sweet spices, with an intriguing touch of cocoa. In the mouth it is fresh, consistent, soft, with great balance and structure, soft tannins and long finish of great finesse. It is one of the most successful Barberas on the Piedmontese wine scene, honoring this varietal that has only discovered in the last two decades all its potential, which experienced and far-sighted winemakers like Luciano Sandrone have been able to grasp.
Food and wine pairing
This is a wine that accompanies white and red meats with long stews, roasts or low temperature vacuum cooking. Excellent with moderately aged cheeses.
