Bucci, Marche
- 100% Verdicchio (Vigne Vecchie-Vieilles Vignes)
- Barrique
Bucci's Verdicchio Riserva is a very special wine. Repeatedly recognized in Italy as "best white wine of the year" by some of the most authoritative wine guides, it is a white wine that is similar in its characteristics to a red wine. It is a wine of great structure and, thanks to viticulture in total respect for nature, it has an entirely exceptional depth of expression. Like a red, it is a wine that matures in Slavonian oak barrels for about two years, to which is added at least one more year in the bottle. This quite unusual maturation is possible thanks to the complexity of the grapes, which come from vineyards at least 40 to 50 years old, with deep roots that go in search of nourishment in the noblest and most "virgin" part of the subsoil. As a red it has a great capacity for aging and improves with oxygenation in very wide glasses for about half an hour before tasting.
Food and wine pairing:
Due to its great structure, it is a wine that accompanies seafood, fish and roasted white meat cuisine. Its complexity makes it capable of following a red wine in the tasting chronology, for example, to return to a white wine to accompany cheeses, after accompanying the main meat dish with an important red wine.
