Barolo Bricco delle Viole, 2017, 75cl, Docg

SFr. 74.00

G.D. Vajra, Piedmont

  • 100% Nebbiolo
  • Barrique

Vajra's Barolo "Bricco delle Viole" is a wine of great body, structure and complexity, aged in barrels for at least 42 months. "Bricco delle Viole" comes from Vajra's oldest vineyards, which are also the last to be harvested; a unique and risky feature at the same time, because in autumn the weather can change quickly. The risk, however, brings with it a remarkable aromatic texture and unique finesse; notes of cherries under spirits blend perfectly with those of dark berries, violets and raisin roses.

In the mouth, it is distinguished by grain complexity, rich structure and an aristocratic profile, with intense tannins and great persistence. To be drunk within 10-12 years after harvest.

Food and wine pairing

It is a distinguished wine that will honor the most important occasions in accompaniment to savory dishes of a rich cuisine: pasta and risottos with meat and, of course, truffles, red meats with long cooking, game and aged cheeses.
