Renato Fenocchio's Barbaresco Starderi, one of the winery's most iconic labels, has its roots in Neive and is considered one of the best MGAs (Menzioni Geografiche Aggiuntive) in the Barbaresco DOCG territory. This subzone, Starderi, is distinguished by its privileged location in the northwest of Neive, where the slope of the hill and the southwest orientation of the vineyard favor excellent ripening of the grapes, ensuring quality even in less favorable vintages.
The use of large 50-hectoliter barrels is chosen for aging Starderi Barbaresco, a choice that reflects a more traditional approach to winemaking. This method highlights the fruit, allowing the wine to fully express its characteristics from a young age and offering fans a taste experience that privileges the freshness and authenticity of Nebbiolo.
